Public Designation Information
Public designation is different from assessment data.
If your organization earns The Best Place for Working Parents® designation, BP4WP may publicly identify your organization as a designated Best Place for Working Parents®. This may include your organization’s name, logo, designation status or year, location, and other basic business information on the BP4WP website, directories, reports, social media, promotional materials, or other communications.
Receiving or publicizing the designation does not make your organization’s individual assessment responses public. The specific answers your organization provides through the assessment remain confidential and may only be used in identifiable form as necessary to administer the assessment and designation program, unless you give us permission to share them.
- When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:
Service providers. We may use trusted vendors and service providers to help operate our website, host data, administer the assessment, provide communications, analyze website usage, or otherwise support BP4WP. These providers may access information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are required to handle that information consistent with applicable law and their obligations to us.
Public designation information. If your organization earns The Best Place for Working Parents® designation, we may publicly share your organization’s designation and related basic business information as described in Section 3. We do not publicly share your organization’s individual assessment responses as part of the designation.
Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when required by law or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect BP4WP, The Miles Foundation, our users, or others.
Organizational changes. If BP4WP or The Miles Foundation is involved in a merger, reorganization, transfer of assets, or similar organizational transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
With your permission. We may share information for other purposes when you direct us to or give us permission.
Aggregated or deidentified information that does not reasonably identify an individual or participating organization may also be used and shared for research, reporting, benchmarking, and program-development purposes.
- How Long We Keep Information
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, administer BP4WP programs and assessments, maintain appropriate business and program records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our rights.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or securely retain it until deletion is practicable, including where information remains in backup systems.
Aggregated or deidentified research data that no longer identifies an individual or organization may be retained for longer periods.
Public information relating to organizations that have earned the BP4WP designation may also be retained as part of BP4WP’s historical program records.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information and confidential assessment information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use reasonable care when transmitting information online and protect any account credentials associated with our services.
