Dozens of Facebook groups, newsletters and call-outs from schools along with various apps used by child care providers create a network of play dates and meet-ups, homework ideas and fun. But that patchwork has gaps, said Carlos Walker who raised several children in the city and now works for the Fort Worth school district as a director within the FWISD Equity & Excellence Division working for the Family Action Center. “There’s been a communication gap within the city that people have been trying to address, including myself for a long time now,” Walker said.
